Monica McMilla

Monica McMillan is Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-Supervisee (CSAC-S), Monica is currently working toward her licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She currently holds a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology specialization in Sex Offender Behaviors from Walden University. Currently achieving her second Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling specialization Trauma and Crisis.

Monica has worked in various settings such as hospital crisis centers (inpatient/outpatient), treatment/residential facilities ranging from a variety of ages (children, adolescents, and adults) with a broad range of psychiatric and addiction disorders, high-maximum security prisons, intensive community outreach services (crisis, and in-home), and with juvenile, and adult sex offenders.

Monica’s foundation and background is in working with adolescents, teenagers, and adults with various backgrounds of trauma/victimization.

Monica has a deep passion for preventing one less victim, and being proactive, not reactive. She understands and appreciates that every client is unique, and she is committed to meeting the client where they are at, and assisting them to where they want to be.

She is deeply committed to proactive approaches in preventing harm and creating safer communities. Her dedication to this work is grounded in the principles of consistency, integrity, and direct communication. Monica maintains a commitment to continuous self-improvement and professional growth, as she believes that complacency has no place in effective practice.

Monica approaches her work with a balance of seriousness, fairness, and respect, always prioritizing therapeutic care. Her focus is on equipping clients with the skills they need to regain confidence, foster healing, and build the competencies necessary for success in their home, work, and school environments. Her ultimate goal is to support all her clients in becoming productive, contributing members of their communities. She ensures that the foundation and purpose of her work remain at the forefront of every interaction.
