Counseling Intern
Hello all! My name is Haley Viar and I am currently a counseling intern here at Counseling and Forensic Services. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pace University in 2024, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Currently, I am getting my Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School, through their Professional Counselor Licensure track. Working with others and helping them achieve their goals and better their overall well-being is a passion of mine, as it has always been a goal to help others since I was a little kid. Counseling should be considered a safe space for all clients, and I will strive to make sure all clients are not only comfortable, but fully supported through their journeys. My counseling approach encapsulates a cultural humility that is ever-growing and flexible, as well as trauma-informed with an open-mindedness that will create a strong therapeutic alliance. Therapy should be a collaborative experience, and I am very excited to be working with others and helping them meet their therapeutic and personal goals.
