Supervisee in Social Work
Cody Rae Kedy

Cody Rae is a Supervisee in Social Work at Counseling and Forensic Services, working toward licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) under supervision. She brings a background in education and a passion for supporting individuals through life’s most challenging experiences. Originally from Miami, she holds a BA in Sociology and Education from the University of Richmond, a master’s degree from Columbia University in Teaching English as a Second Language, and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Virginia Commonwealth University. She spent several years as a teacher and also served as a Guardian ad Litem in Miami, advocating for children in the court system.

Her areas of interest include working with individuals and families affected by the criminal justice system, sex offenders, and those navigating anxiety, depression, Autism spectrum issues, grief and loss, substance use, trauma, and LGBTQ+ identity and experiences. She also has a growing interest in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a tool for trauma healing. Cody Rae believes deeply in the power of resilience—and that healing begins when we find strength even in the most difficult parts of our stories.
