Billing Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Coordinator to join our team. This role requires a strong background in medical billing, with expertise in federal and district billing. Proficiency in SimplePractice or similar billing software is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review and submit accurate invoices for mental health services to federal and district agencies, evidence based associates (EBA) and department of corrections
  • Manage authorizations, insurance payments, and resolve non-payments while coordinating with collection agencies
  • Ensure compliance with billing regulations and organizational policies
  • Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and payments
  • Utilize SimplePractice and other billing platforms to manage invoicing and payment tracking efficiently
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely collections
  • Work closely with internal teams to gather necessary documentation and billing information
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support financial decision-making
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

  • Mental-health or medical billing – 2+ years of experience required
  • Proficiency in billing software (SimplePractice) and Microsoft Excel  
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills and ability to multitask
  • Self motivator with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
