Resident in Counseling
Sydney Galipeau

I am a Resident in Counseling at Counseling and Forensic Services, Inc., primarily working with couples while also enjoying work with individuals, families, and groups. I am open to supporting clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, trauma-related concerns, substance use, and suicidal ideation. I am especially well-suited for individuals seeking a younger counselor with a fresh, modern perspective and a strong motivation to help clients create meaningful change. With a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology, I specialize in working with individuals who have criminal histories and more acute or complex concerns, while also being well-versed in general mental health and life transitions shaped by today’s social climate. I co-facilitate three sex offender groups, as well as a new group dedicated to female veterans and their families, in which we are openly accepting members. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and aim to provide an inclusive, validating, and warm therapeutic environment grounded in empathy and realism. I am currently accepting individual, couples, and family therapy clients and would be honored to support you on your mental health journey—please feel free to reach out via email or phone to get started. I am seeing clients in Alexandria, Woodbridge, Manassas, and Warrenton.
