Jenny Sexton

A native of Virginia who has been working in the field of mental health and addictions counseling for more than 20 years. In addition to being employed with CFS for nearly 5 years, Ms. Sexton is also employed full-time with Arlington County Public Schools as a substance abuse counselor, where Ms. Sexton supports 25 elementary schools and 1 middle school. Ms. Sexton currently holds credentials as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Forensic Addiction Counselor (FAC), Certified Specialist in Anger Management (CSAM), and is a certified interventionist. Additionally, Ms. Sexton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology, with a minor in Administration of Justice, from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise; a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from Marymount University; and a career diploma in Substance Abuse Counseling from Penn Foster college. Ms. Sexton serves as part of the Arlington Addiction Recovery Initiative Committee (AARI) and Ms. Sexton is also the Revive Overdose Prevent Educate (R.O.P.E.) trainer for the school district.
