Benjamin obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2000. Benjamin earned his Masters of Social Work from Widener University in 2006 and his Endorsement in K-12 School Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. Benjamin is currently a Supervisee in Social Work who has over fifteen years of experience working with adolescents in both the K-12 public school setting as well as alternative therapeutic settings. Serving as a
Professional School Counselor at the middle school level for the past ten years he has experience supporting students and families experiencing a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and disruptive behavior disorders among others. He also has experience working individually with adults and families. Benjamin utilizes a solution focused approach to therapy and emphasizes the inherent unique strengths of each individual in an effort to help
his clients empower themselves.
