Michael is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider in the state of Virginia. He specializes in couples counseling, Christian counseling, and working with individuals with sexual behavior problems. Michael joined Counseling and Forensic Services, Inc in 2002. During his time with CFS, he has also worked with juveniles, led a group for loved ones of individuals with sexual behavior problems, and led groups for anger management. He has also sees individuals for a variety of general mental health issues.
Michael attended Cedarville University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in applied psychology. He then attended Georgia State University and Richmont Graduate University where he earned a Master of Science degree in professional counseling and a Master of Science degree in Christian psychological studies. While studying at Georgia State, Michael completed his internship with Dr. Gene Abel at Behavioral Medicine Institute of Atlanta. It was there that he developed a passion for working with individuals with sexual behavior problems.
